Read before you buy!

While I do sell pre-made dolls occasionally, most of my orders are commissions. I do a few types of commissions but my most common types are “Faceups” and “Full-Set dolls.” Faceup commissions consist of a fully painted doll head and a set of handmade resin eyes. Full-set dolls consist of a fully painted doll head and body, handmade resin eyes, a handmade wig, and a hand-sewn outfit. I typically will take 10 slots at a time depending on what the commissions are. I can usually finish 5+ faceups per week or 1-2 full-set dolls depending on the complexities of wigs and outfits. I stagger my orders based on order date and the most efficient way to get all of my orders done.

I DO make duplicates sometimes. If the character is a popular character, such as Super Sonico, many people might want her. Since she is NOT an original character I will take multiple commissions of her. Same goes with characters from other popular anime’s or games. IF THE CHARACTER IS AN ORIGINAL CHARACTER (not from a anime, game, webtoon, etc) I WILL NOT TAKE DUPLICATE ORDERS. If you see a commission that I’ve done of someone’s original character and really like it, I can make something in a similar style but I will not make the exact same character for you out of respect for the characters artist.

I MAY DO COMMISSIONS OUT OF ORDER IF: supplies for your commission (doll parts, wigs, fabric, etc) are still shipping to my studio. If your doll is in a box shipping overseas from Japan I cannot paint her yet. She is in a box. She is not in my studio. If wig fibers of your choosing are still shipping to my studio I cannot make your doll a wig yet. I cannot make wig fibers appear out of thin air. If the fabric needed for your order is still shipping I cannot sew your dolls outfit yet. I cannot spin thread and make my own fabric. I always carry basic fabrics such as neutral toned cottons in my studio BUT I do not have “specialty fabrics” such as furs, linens, pleathers, and vinyls in my studio when I am not using them for a specific project. TO RESTATE: I may work on other commissions before yours if I am waiting on parts to arrive. I will not put off other customers’ orders and stare at a wall waiting for your parts to arrive when there is work I can accomplish in the meantime. I cannot work on your order if your parts are not in my studio. I will update my COMMISSION TRACKING SHEET with written progress on your order as well as sending you both written and photo updates while I am working on your doll. These updates may come slow. I try to update as much as possible but once again I am one person, not a whole group of people.

I hand-make my orders. I am human, I am not a machine. My dolls are crafted with care and intention. Quality is important to us as a company, but because I am one person and not a machine or a whole factory, dolls may have some imperfections. Doll eyebrows may be uneven. Small bubbles may be present in resin eyes. Wigs might have visible tracks if they are parted in ways they are not intended to be parted in. Some tattoos will not line up perfectly on joints if the joints are bent in certain ways. The face might not be perfectly symmetrical. Threads might be accidentally sticking out of outfits and need to be snipped off still. Outfits and hair might get displaced in the mail and need adjusting. I will obviously try my best to make sure all dolls, outfits, and accessories are made to each individual’s standard, however, these are all issues that may arise when you have something made one of a kind by a human instead of a machine. If you want something 100% perfect then I’d recommend looking into mass-produced factory-made dolls which mine aren’t!

I charge a RESTOCK FEE of 25% if commissions are cancelled after supplies are ordered. WHY? I put a TON of money into my commissions. I undersell myself quite a bit because I just want to make dolls. Because of this, when orders are cancelled after I already have ordered all of the fabric, wig, shoe, and doll supplies, I'm down hundreds of dollars. As someone who's main source of income currently comes from selling dolls this is typically a $500 to $800 hit I can't take. 25% is an INSANELY LOW restock fee for commissions as expensive as these dolls are. I know it may be annoying but if you understand my timeframes and how I go about making my dolls you SHOULD NOT need a refund. Really put some thought into it before ordering from me! It will save us both a lot of time and stress. Please and thank you!

I do offer refunds on purchases after you receive your order as well, however you will be responsible for shipping fees and any damage to the product / loss of value along with the restock fee if your order was a commission order. I ensure all of my orders are placed in such a way that if they get lost or damaged in the mail I can issue a refund or replacement easily. I ask that when opening large orders from me you record the full process so that if things are severely damaged there is good proof to show USPS insurance. If your order was obviously damaged during shipping you will not be charged a restock fee if you can provide proof!! That's also why I ask for you to record your unboxing! :)

I package my orders very thoroughly to ensure they won't get damaged during the shipping process! I bubble wrap things, use tissue papers, tie things together, use padded mailers, ETC so that I can be confident that things are arriving in the same condition they were sent in! If you are worried about how I am securing your order please let me know so that I can send you photos and get your input!! My doll bases that come with COA’s will be sent with them. DOLLFIE DREAM DOES NOT GIVE OUT COA’S. I however can assure you that I am very anti-recast and all of my dolls are authentic! Orders are also sent out with a guide on how to care for, store, and wash your doll. You can find that HERE. Your order will also come with a few little goodies ;)

I have specifics on my commission process in all of my commission listing description boxes (and also tagged HERE). PLEASE READ IT! I know it's a lot of words but you should definitely read the description of an item that you are paying hundreds of dollars for.

I post all of my finished commissions on social media as well as progress pics. I also put them in my portfolios (both my physical book-style portfolio that I take to conventions and my Pinterest portfolio!) so that others can see the work I’ve done before commissioning me. I have the right to use photos that I’ve taken of your commissioned doll for advertisement for my commissions or for other things in my shop! Feel free to send me any photos you take after your doll arrives if you would like me to add them to my portfolio or show them on social media (tagging you for photo credit of course!!)

Thank you for trusting me with your doll needs and understanding a bit about my process!! After you are done reading PLEASE message me “cyber angel” so that I know that you have thoroughly read and understand everything here! Feel free to message me with any questions or concerns anytime, but please remember that I am only 1 person so reply times may be slightly delayed! I try to respond to all messages by the end of the day, but if I miss you I will get back to you the following day! :)

Thank  you,

Jace Sprinkle, Disasterful Girl.
